Electrocontact materials
For hard work conditions there are metaloceramic contacts, mixture of metal and non-metal powders that are not melting mutually, so these can be produced only by sinter metallurgy procedures.
Material choice is compromise. It is necessary to know contact’s exploitation conditions and characteristics of used materials.
A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, silver has the highest electrical conductivity of any element and the highest thermal conductivity of any metal. Silver possesses low contact resistance, very good deformability and is characterized by good brazability and weldability. Silver as contact material satisfies the requirements only in a narrow range of electrical applications.
Alloying silver with other materials we can achieve besides good electric and thermal conductivity, necessary mechanical features. Components that make contacts must not melt while high temperatures during exploitation period and must have resistance against both the electric wear and corrosion.
The design and construction of progressive and mold tooling are also done in-house. These capabilities make us a valuable partner for the electrical, electronic and automotive industries.
